Meet the 2009-2010 ALES PTO Board!
The Algonquin Lakes PTO would like to welcome you!!!
We would like to get to know each of you better and we'd love to help you get to know us, the school, the teachers, and what new fun things we have planned for the students! We are always looking for volunteers with new ideas, new activities, and new ways of making the children at Algonquin Lakes excited about school and learning. We invite you to get involved by attending our PTO meetings and/or volunteering at the school. We look forward to the 2009-2010 school year. Thank you!
Hi! My name is Kim Ortiz. I am new to the PTO Board, as Co-President, but have heavily volunteered at school for the last 3 years. I have one child, Sarah, in third grade. I thoroughly enjoy being active at school and would encourage you to get involved as well.
Hello fellow Algonquin Lakes Elementary families. My name is Cindy Busby Lempa. I have the extreme honor and privilege of being PTO Co-President for the 2009-2010 school year. I have 4 sons that attend ALES, Austen 9, Treven 8, Cayden 6 and Rylen 6. My children have had the good fortune of having awesome teachers each year at ALES (they're all awesome). I'm a big supporter of family involvement when it comes to a child's education. We're all here for the some goal, to give our children the best educational experience. I look forward to a fun and productive year. Please, feel free to contact me if you have any questions, comments or ideas.
Hello! My name is Amanda Neuschaefer and I am the PTO Co-Vice President. I have two children; Alaina - she is going into the 2nd grade and Devin - my 2 year old. I became a part of the PTO because I wanted to be more involved with my daughter's education. Please feel free to contact me to find out how you can get involved.
Hello! My name is Andrea Baker. This is my first year as PTO Co-Vice President and also my family's first year at Algonquin Lakes Elementary. My son, Mason, is in Kindergarten. My daughter, Amelia, is 3 and goes to preschool at DeLacey. I am excited to start the elementary school years and feel fortunate to be able to serve on the PTO.
Hi! My name is Jackie Gregory and I am the PTO Co-Treasurer. I have two children, Nicholas in 2nd grade at Algonquin Lakes and Jeremy in 7th grade at Algonquin Middle School. I work part-time for a local realtor, but have found I can still dedicate time to the PTO and various committees at Algonquin Lakes. I have been volunteering at the school since the year it opened and find it very rewarding knowing I'm doing what I can to help. Being on the PTO board offers several avenues to meeting new parents, making new friends, getting to know the teachers, and finding new ways to be in touch with the day-to-day activities that are happening with your children while they are at school. If you have any questions and just don't know where to begin, give me a call or e-mail me I'd love to help!
My name is Cheryl Foster. I am a new Co-Treasurer for the PTO. I am married to Jeff for almost 9 years. We have one child, Tommy, who is in 1st grade. I volunteer at a preschool and at Algonquin Lakes both of which I enjoy thoroughly.
Hello! My name is Keri Mayer-Bastian. This is my first year as PTO Co-Secretary. I am married to Ben and we have 3 boys. My oldest, Isaac, will be a first grader in 2009-2010, I also have a 2 yr. old, Johnny and a 1 yr. old Aidan. I look forward to serving on the PTO and being a part of an organization that sponsors so many of the extra activities that our children are fortunate enough to receive. It is with great excitement that I welcome the new families and get to know those who are already apart of Algonquin Lakes Elementary.
My name is Kelly Wood, and I am just beginning my position as PTO Co-Secretary. I have worked as a paraprofessional in D300 for the past three years and I currently work at Algonquin Lakes. My husband and I have 9 year-old twins who attend 3rd grade. I have enjoyed volunteering and working at Algonquin Lakes, and I look forward to serving on the PTO Board this year.
